LAB PROJECTS
Building Functional Science Laboratories for Underprivileged Schools
STEM school labs designs, builds, and equips cost-effective science laboratories in schools that lack practical learning facilities. Our laboratories enable students to carry out real experiments in chemistry, physics, and biology — turning theory into hands-on discovery.
Each project is implemented in close collaboration with school leadership and local communities to ensure ownership, sustainability, and long-term use.

Our Labs
We’re building basic labs that still get kids excited and thinking. Even though our spaces aren’t high-tech, they’ve got what matters - like tools, materials, and room to try things out

Simple lab tools like microscopes, test tubes, or beakers

Practical stuff to use in tests or builds

Online materials plus apps that make learning more hands-on
Challenges
We’re short on cash - still, things keep moving. Volunteers and allies hustle hard, hunting cheap gear while reusing stuff or tapping into local help.
Our Process
1. Figuring out what schools need in science class - we team up with them to see where help’s needed.
2. Our crew gets the lab ready using gear we’ve been given or stuff that’s cheap.
3. Teachers get help through training on how to use lab tools - also, they learn ways to add hands-on activities into lessons.

IMPACT
Even within resource-limited environments, our laboratories are delivering strong results:
Increased student engagement in science subjects
Improved confidence in experiments and problem-solving
Stronger performance in practical science
Greater interest in STEM pathways, especially among rural learners
Each laboratory serves hundreds of students every year, creating long-term community benefit.

Featured Lab Projects
Ruai Primary School
A newly equipped chemistry laboratory now allows students to safely conduct experiments, test chemical reactions, and develop practical lab skills under teacher supervision.
Mowlem Supa Loaf Primary School
Through a functional biology laboratory, students are able to observe plant and animal cells using microscopes and participate in structured practical lessons.
Gitutha primary School
Students now explore basic machines and scientific principles through hands-on experiments instead of theory-only instruction.
We’re happy about how things turned out - huge thanks to our supporters and those who pitched in. Side by side, we actually change something for these kids.
